How To Cook A Turkey

In order to cook a turkey the first thing you will need to do is go out to your local grocery store and buy one. The turkeys that my wife and I love to cook are the Butterball turkeys. They taste great and it's very easy to prepare.

Your probably wondering why I suggest buying a Butterball Turkey. Well it's quite easy.
They taste great!

What's nice about the Butterball Turkeys and cooking one for Christmas is that you cook them frozen and there is no need to thaw them out. For other turkeys you need to thaw them out and it can take days depending on how big your turkey is. With Butterball Turkeys you can cook them frozen, they taste great and they're nice and plump and juicy. We've tried other ones and Butterball just seems like the right choice for us.

The next thing you do to cook your Christmas Turkey is to unwrap your turkey, tie up the legs, pre-heat the oven and start cooking. Remember to look at your cooking instructions for the weight of the turkey and the cooking time it needs to fully cook. What's nice with Butterball Turkeys too is that they already have the stuffing in there for you. Saves you time so you can enjoy making some nice holiday desert for you Christmas dinner.

If you don't have a roasting pan already in your home you can buy a disposable tray that work great for cooking turkeys. Less clean up and you can throw it away or give some turkey to some friends without worrying about getting your pan back. We do have a roasting pan ourselves but we tend to go with the disposable trays for turkeys usually.

What Temperature Should I Cook My Christmas Turkey

This is where many people go wrong. Cooking your turkey longer over a low temperature will allow you to have a juicy, delicious turkey to enjoy. No one likes dry turkey and by cooking at low temperature you can avoid that. This is one turkey cooking tip that you should all live by.
